About Joel Robideaux
Representative Joel Robideaux is a native of Lafayette. He and his wife, Bobette, have three children – all boys. He is a successful businessman and CPA, and served as campaign treasurer for State Senator Mike Michot, a long-time friend.
Joel is new to elected office. He’s a family man. Joel graduated from Our Lady of Fatima High School, graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and earned his master's degree in finance from Louisiana State University.
Joel is actively involved in our community. He coaches youth sports, has served as an adjunct accounting instructor for University of Louisiana – Lafayette, was the charter president of Kiwanis of Vermilion, a past board member for Camp Bon Couer and Habitat for Humanity. Joel is active in numerous civic groups, church activities and programs.
Joel is a businessman, a highly respected Certified Public Accountant, who has built a successful accounting practice and reputation based on his integrity, intelligence and work ethic.
As a successful CPA, Joel knows how to make a budget work effectively – without raising our taxes. Joel believes we don’t need more laws and more taxes. He believes we need fiscally responsible leaders to rise to the challenge of the recovery, while we address our state’s failing schools, struggling economy and ever-looming budget crisis. | | | |
